Memory Grove Historic Home Remodel
Nestled along historic City Creek in the Memory Grove neighborhood, this home was built in 1906 and has gone through a myriad of phases. Our job was to breathe new life into the home by overhauling the collapsing structural framing and remodeling the space with luxurious finishes that pay homage to the era that the home was built.
10th Avenue Remodel
Once a series of closed-off rooms, this 1950s Avenues home was transformed into a bright, open-concept space designed to capture sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley and Wasatch Mountains. A 35-foot steel beam was craned through the roof to remove five load-bearing walls, allowing the kitchen, dining, living, and formerly exterior sunroom to flow together under abundant natural light, now framed by floor-to-ceiling European windows. The reimagined main level features an expanded kitchen, new floors, and a new bathroom.
The Designer’s Kitchen
We remodeled this 1906 kitchen to preserve its historic charm while working around major structural challenges, including a three-inch floor slope and an outdated layout. We installed custom white oak cabinetry, updated the appliances, and introduced stone surfaces for a clean, modern aesthetic. To honor the home's original character, we matched new hardwood flooring and millwork to the 120-year-old originals, blending historical integrity with modern functionality.
Cottonwood Heights Addition
As the family prepared to welcome their third baby, they realized their 1950s Cottonwood Heights home no longer met their needs—especially with a primary bedroom doubling as an office. We added a 350-square-foot rear addition to create a private primary suite complete with a spacious walk-in closet and en-suite laundry, then reworked the former primary bedroom into a dedicated office and a children’s room. To finish the transformation, we refreshed the entire main level with new floors, millwork, doors, matching European windows and sliders, and a new hot tub deck with walkout access from the primary suite.
Hickory Home Remodel
This 1950s home, inherited from the owners’ grandmother, had been untouched for years and was ready for a full transformation. We remediated asbestos throughout, removed a main-floor wall, and opened the once-cramped split level into a spacious, light-filled kitchen and living area designed for cooking and entertaining. Upstairs, we reworked closets to create a generous en suite with a walk-in shower, bench, and floating wood vanity, while the basement gained marmoleum floors for a gym and gear storage. With all three bathrooms, the laundry room, rear entry, garage access, windows, roof, and gutters completely redone, the home is now stunning and modern.
Two Car Garage Addition
We designed and built a two-car garage for a 1953 mid-century modern home, overcoming zoning restrictions by creating a deep, two-car-length garage. The fully insulated, finished space includes energy-efficient connections to the home and a rain screen assembly behind the siding for long-term durability.
Corner Canyon Basement Mother in Law
We transformed this new construction unfinished basement in Corner Canyon into a fully finished living space with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom—resolving early moisture issues and delivering a finished basement built to last.
