As the founder of Nomad Builders, I have been working in the residential construction industry since 2014, unless you count the years I spent as a kid helping my grandfather build a lakehouse and remodel his home! Prior to Nomad, I gained experience working for remodelers and custom home builders in Colorado and South Dakota. After a life of near constant travel, I settled down in Salt Lake City in 2019 where Nomad Builders has been based ever since. I still regularly climb rock and ice, mountain bike, ski, and travel abroad for expeditions. I have an amazing wife and two dogs.

I am a geologist turned home builder where I enjoy incorporating building science into builds and seeing how stoked customers are with our finished work. In my free time you can find me rock climbing, hiking and running, playing soccer, and hanging out with my partner and two dogs. ​​

Born and raised in the Midwest, I moved to Utah to finish school and explore the mountain west. After graduating, I spent over a decade in the marketing world before realizing I needed a change. The desire for more control over the product, the opportunity to make a local impact, and the excitement of a completely new industry were all factors that drew me to Nomad. When I’m not building for Nomad, you can find me climbing, skiing, or mountain biking with my two dogs and loving partner.

Originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo, I moved to Utah when I was 9 as a refugee and have been here ever since. I have always wanted to build stuff so I started my career in excavation before coming on board with Nomad Builders where I enjoy being a part of a group that strives for perfection. My favorite part of this work is seeing the end result and, more importantly, seeing a smile on the customer’s face. I love hanging out with my kids and taking them to the park, swimming, hiking, and just being outside in general.

Hailing from Michigan, I moved around throughout the West before settling in Salt Lake City. When not building with Nomad, I’m hucking jumps on my snowboard or enjoying a good espresso.

I grew up in Elberta, Utah where I got my first experience in the construction process when my family built a house there on the foundation of a burned down house. I began my professional career as a finish carpenter in 2009 in the beehive state before working for many years in Wyoming. True to the company name, I have been a nomad at times but never left the trades as I continue to broaden and deepen my skills. Away from work, I read, get as much sun as possible, and love spending time with my boys.
