This Westside Salt Lake bathroom was the second bathroom I did for this customer. Repeat customers are the greatest review a contractor can get! This bathroom had cheap acrylic faux stone shower panels that were glued over 2 layers of drywall and set on top of an acrylic shower base. This left the house without a bathtub. Fun fact, it’s important to keep a bathtub in your house because one: it classifies that bathroom as a full bath, with a shower its only a 3/4 bath, and two: because people with families and dogs want at least one tub in the house! A house with a tub holds more value than a house without a tub. Here we tore it down to the studs, removed a built in that faced to the hallway to buy more space in the bathroom, switched the toilet and vanity locations and added a bathtub. I fixed the wall assembly around the shower with high quality waterproof panels and tiled a beautiful textured subway tile in a herringbone pattern. Three shampoo niche make for attractive and functional storage for your sudsy bits. A bamboo vanity top with vessel sink, gold fixtures and the mustard accent wall tie in nice with the concrete style floor tiles to make a beautiful room for those bathtub soakers. This customer wanted to feel like they had just finished up a day skiing powder lines in Hokkaido, Japan and then wandered into a spa. Mission accomplished.
